Motion sensor-activated stairway lighting that lights up your stairs automatically when you enter the staircase area. The kit contains all that you need: individual stair lights, motion sensors and smart controllers which switch the lights on and off again, saving energy and reducing your electricity bill.

Controller
The SCR-1 controller switches the lights on all steps together and is suitable for stairways with 1-20 steps. Click here, for our more advanced kit with the SCR-2 controller that switches the lights on one by one giving it a cascading effect. We can supply the control unit as a stand-alone item if you wish to use your own lights.

Motion sensor
Our stair lighting sytems are supplied with a pair of motion sensors. There is a choice of three sensor - we will ask you which sensor type you prefer before you check out your order.

Lights
Light type
The custom stair light configuration is available with 60 cm or 90 cm linear LED light strips or round wall spotlights.
The spotlights are available in black, white and brushed steel colours, with cold, neutral or warm white light. The spotlights can be used as surface- or flush-mounted.
The LED strips have marked points every 5 cm where they can be cut if you need a shorter length. Contact us for kits with custom length lights.
Light colour options
Our recessed wall spotlight option is available in warm white (3000K), cold white (6000K), neutral white (4000-4500K).
The linear LED light strips are available in three shades of white light (cool white, neutral white and warm white) and red, green or blue lights.
Please note that you will be asked for your choice of light colour at the checkout stage.
Protective profiles
The light for each step is encased in a protective aluminium profile. There is a choice of four profile shapes and six profile colours (the recessed slim profile is only available in silver colour), each suitable for different installation sites. Profiles can be cut to length using a suitable saw.

Standard fitting which can be mounted even on finished stairs.
Angular
Mounted in the corner between the stair tread and the riser.
Recessed
The profile is hidden in a recess under the step.
Recessed slim
The profile is hidden in a cut under the step. Slimmer option
Profile colour options
Diffuser (for linear LED light options)
A diffuser covers the light strip to provide an even glow along the length of your Intelligent Stair Lights. There is a choice of two finishes, transparent and milk.

All electrical works must be carried out by a fully qualified, registered electrician in accordance with Safe Electric, the statutory regulatory scheme for electrical contractors and the manufacturers' instructions. Please note that we are unable to refund or replace any item deemed faulty unless it has been installed by a fully qualified electrician, a Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) or Registered Electrical Contractor of Ireland (RECI). When returning a faulty item, we require full details of the installing electrician in order to verify the integrity of both the installation and electrical wiring system including fuse board and circuit protection devices.
